Mechanical Engineer

As a maintenance technician at Royal A-ware, you ensure the optimal technical condition of our extensive and state-of-the-art machinery, consisting of 20 production lines, each one unique.

What will you be doing?
As a maintenance technician, you are the go-to specialist for all things technical. Your expertise allows you to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This includes conducting maintenance, repairs, adjustments, improvements, and alignments on our complex machinery lines. In addition to hands-on work, youll also oversee contractors and collaborate with production staff to identify causes of malfunctions.
With your broad technical experience and dedication, you contribute to making our machinery even more efficient and safer, while maintaining a focus on delivering 100% quality. Your ultimate goal is to ensure optimal functionality of our machinery, and you consider it your responsibility to achieve this alongside your colleagues.
As a maintenance technician, you will work in a 5-shift rotation, which looks as follows: youll start 2 days in the morning (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM), followed by 2 days in the afternoon (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM), and finally, 2 days in the night (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Subsequently, youll have 4 days off. This means that you may occasionally work weekends as well.

Who are you?

• You are versatile, with knowledge in both mechanical (W) and electrical (E) areas.
• You have at least completed a vocational education in First Mechanic Mechatronics level 3 or Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electro, or similar.
• You have good command of the English (and Dutch) language.
• You are flexible regarding working in a 5-shift rotation.

Where will you be working?
We are Royal A-ware, a family-owned company passionate about good food. With over 2,000 colleagues, we strive daily to produce the tastiest cheese, dairy, tapas, and other fresh food products for the Netherlands and beyond. Weve been doing this for over 130 years.
You will be working at Royal A-wares largest packaging location, spanning over 30,000 m2, in Almere. Alongside approximately 17 colleagues, youll form a team where no challenge is insurmountable. Together, youll divide the tasks, but youll work independently in execution. You will report to the Team Leader of Corrective Maintenance within the Technical Department.
