We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. Your role in the story

.During your watch you are responsible for the safe and efficient inspection as well as maintenance of machinery and equipment in engine room spaces, accommodation, galley, deck and project related equipment and lifesaving equipment. You report defects and malfunctioning of systems, circuits, equipment and interrupt, without any hesitation, unsafe activities or conditions and report these. Furthermore, you keep the engine room book updated, perform toolboxes, ensure a proper job and shift handover. Lastly you supervise the technical (fleet) personnel on watch as well as new technical personnel and trainees.

In this position you will work closely with our experienced and professional Tug crew.

Is this the job for you?

This position requires an Engineer with a vocational or bachelor maritime degree, 3 to 8 years’ of experience as Engineer on board of an offshore vessel, a Dynamic Positioning operated vessel is an advantage. As a person you possess proven leadership skills, a practical, problem solving, result oriented mindset and are a team player. Your command of the Dutch and English, both written and spoken, is excellent.

Heerema has a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off working schedule but this may fluctuate due to the nature of our activities.
