As our Bike Hunter you will have an amazing impact on getting back our missing bikes in Utrecht. In this job you will become fully responsible for making sure we get bikes back to their rightful users. You have an analytical mind and a passion for justice. In this role you will be setting up procedures for bike surveillance and city sweeps (a.k.a. getting the bikes back).

As of this year we are using trackers on our bikes. You will go to a different city with one minivan to hunt GPS tracked e-bikes.

So it’s up to you to oversee and improve our hunting process. This will also mean in case you needed: that you will have close contact with the police.

Responsibilities:

• Driving the recovery target by finding bikes with a different status than in use by scanning all the Swapfiets bikes on the street during a city sweep;
• Getting back missing (or bad debt) e-bikes with an active GPS-tracker;
• Picking up bikes at the municipality depot and bringing them to the warehouse;
• Register recovered bikes in the suggested way;
• Bringing the recovered bikes back to our stores/warehouses in a big van;
• Answer questions, and explain what youre doing to members or people passing by during bike hunting or city sweep activities.

Your profile:

• Secondary vocational education working or thinking level;
• In possession of a driver’s license (for a minimum period of 6 months);
• Affinity with bikes and service;
• Available for 16 hours a week;
• Fluent in English and/or local language
