As a (Jr.) Engineer Sustainability, you will be a sustainability champion, pioneering innovative solutions that reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency. What you will be working on:

Your mission will be to elevate our Circular Heerema ambition by mapping and monitoring our material and waste streams both onshore and offshore (e.g., steel consumption, material flow analyses, circular design). You will find areas for improvement, collaborate on implementing these improvements, and contribute to our sustainability reporting. Additionally, you will support our broader Sustainability Ambitions, including achieving net-zero emissions, enhancing our impact on marine life, and ensuring the well-being of our people.

You will do this in close collaboration with multiple teams, including Engineering, HSE, Procurement, Project Management, Operations and Equipment, our offshore fleet and various external companies. By collaborating with these key stakeholders, you will directly impact integrating circular principles and sustainable solutions into our daily operations, projects, and processes.

Is this the job for you?

Key ingredients for success:

• A Bachelor and/or Master degree Civil Engineering, Circular Economy or equivalent;
• You have 2-5 years’ of experience within the field of sustainability and/or circular economy;
• Knowledge and experience in the visualization of supply-chain related data;
• Social skills to build and support valuable relationships internally and externally with clients and relevant companies from various industries.
