The production facilities in Boxmeer are part of our global animal health production network and manufacture and package animal health products according to Good Manufacturing Principle standards (GMP). Our organization is working according to our in-house developed production system, which is based on Lean Six Sigma and inclusion principles. The production organization in Boxmeer consists of several Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) and Centers of Excellence (CoEs). The IPT (Integrated Process Team) Antigen (~145 FTE) covers the manufacture of viral and bacterial antigens on a wide variety of production platforms. The IPT comprises 3 production departments, Maintenance & Reliability and Improvement.

Purpose of the role

In this role, you are a key member of the IPT Management Team, playing a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives for IPT Antigen. You govern the portfolio of improvement projects that range from new product introductions and process improvements to large capital investments. You develop your team and the IPT in the use and application of Lean Six Sigma, Project Management and Change Management tools. This role requires close collaboration with colleagues and peers within the site Boxmeer, sites abroad and functions in our network. You report to the IPT Lead Antigen, act as her right-hand person, and assume her responsibilities in her absence.

Main responsibilities

• Managing and developing the Improvement Team (14 FTE), ensuring the development of an effective, focused and strong team by understanding their abilities and unique contribution to broaden their skill set.
• Facilitating in defining and realizing the IPT Strategy derived from the site strategy.
• Governing of the project portfolio (including new product introductions) and linking improvement initiatives on IPT level to site strategy.
• Initiating and managing initiatives for stabilizing and improving (production) processes.
• Assuring effective application of Lean Six Sigma, Project Management and Change Management Tools.
• Supporting the business with investigating and solving complex cross-functional issues with the right techniques and skills.
• Contributing to a data driven decision making process and visualizing problems, progress and results.
• Support IPT in performance review and prioritization of the IPT Key Performance Indicators.

Your profile

We are seeking a seasoned Lean Six Sigma specialist who believes in leading by example. A critical professional with excellent communication and persuasive skills at all levels. You maintain a constant focus on identifying and realizing improvement potential. You also bring:

• Bachelor / master’s degree in a relevant field (bio-medical, engineering or business administration).
• Strong experience in leading and successfully completing project-based improvement processes in a relevant environment (Pharma, Food, Chemical).
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language.
• Living at a reasonable distance from Boxmeer.
