HOW YOULL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES) The General Manager serves as the most senior IT leader and oversees the central IT organization of SkyTeam. This position provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives and directs the planning and implementation of IT services in accordance with the mission, core values, and purpose of SkyTeam.

SkyTeam’s technology strategy is key to unlocking the alliance benefits for all members. As such, the General Manager plays a key role in enabling current and future value drivers for alliance members.

Develop IT vision, strategy and roadmap that creates value for members and their customers, bridging both technology and core business, technology as both the enabler and inspiration for business strategy.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

• Develop and maintain the technology roadmap for assigned area, collaborating with business and IT partners to ensure that the roadmap creates business value with technically sound solutions and seeking out opportunities to apply technical innovations to customer needs.
• Identifying, assessing and communicating risks related to the technology roadmap.
• Member engagement and full alignment on vision, strategy and roadmap (business and IT) at member EVP/SVP Level
• Develop a high functioning, can do, results orientated technology organization/CIO office committed to leading the industry and serving members and customers.
• Be plugged in to industry developments including monitor emerging technologies and digital trends which are most relevant to member goals and technology/business direction of SkyTeam.
• Build strong relationships with member airlines and their technology leaders including a detailed understanding and alignment of their issues, goals and opportunities, must spend considerable time in member offices engaging listening and supporting.
• Establish metrics for managing IT effectiveness and for measuring the impact of IT on member revenue and customer experience.
• Manage Technology budget.
• Maintain oversight of the IT Portfolio, ensuring right priorities and synchronized execution with members
• Establish a comprehensive enterprise information security strategy to ensure the highest industry standards of integrity, confidentiality and availability of relevant data.
• Establish sourcing strategy; recommend and oversee all vendors and managed service agreements.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
