Supervisor Formulation & Filling

The Supervisor F&F leads activities for the formulation and filling of drug product. This process includes the visual inspection process.

Departmental aspects such as People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost are managed through Tier meetings and KPIs. The supervisor oversees and is mostly focused on organizing and facilitating the activities on the shop-floor.

Main responsibilities

o Supporting the set-up and execution of drug product formulation and filling. Predominantly this will entail manufacture of recombinant medicinal products including therapeutic proteins, viral vectors and vaccines, but the activities may include formulation and filling of other pharmaceutical compositions. The department also provides buffer solutions to other departments.

o Planning the F&F activities with respect to labor (qualified staff), consumables and other materials and qualified equipment.

o Develops team members by giving appropriate responsibilities, encourage the team to deploy continuous improvement opportunities.

o Facilitate and support the F&F team and interact with other departments.

o The Supervisor has 9 direct reports and reports to the Manager Production

• Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering or another relevant discipline.

• Has 5+ years of work experience in formulation and filling, and visual inspection in a pharmaceutical GMP environment is required.

• Having led and managed a team of Production Operators

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, writing, communication and presentation skills

• Excellent organization, planning and time management skills

• Self-starting, independent, proactive and adaptable to changing environments

• Proficient in English language.

• Experience with QMS Veeva (or similar) for creation of deviations, CAPAs and change controls

• Experience with computerized systems like PIMS and SAP
