APRTE is an Amsterdam-based film distribution Bedrijf operating across the Benelux market. The Bedrijf structures independent cinema acquisitions as a risk-mitigated asset class using targeted regional marketing engines and fixed streaming output contracts to stabilize portfolio yields. We are currently raising an inaugural €10M–€20M slate fund. The Functie We are hiring a Fractional CFO / Fund Controller to act as our strategic financial anchor. You will partner with the Founder to validate underwriting models, establish institutional fund governance, and defend our prospectus during venture capital due diligence. Key Responsibilities

Fund Modeling & Due Diligence: Audit and validate the 5-year portfolio model, asset tier economics, and downside stress tests. Participate in VC and investor pitch meetings to defend fund mechanics. Waterfall Execution: Refine and own the LP distribution waterfall structure. Capital Management: Establish the framework for staging capital calls across a 3-year deployment cycle. Dutch Fiscal Compliance: Structure the corporate layer to comply with the Belastingdienst, including director-major shareholder (DGA) minimum salary requirements and cross-border withholding tax flows between the Nederland and België.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior financial modeler within a Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Asset Management framework. Deep operational understanding of Dutch corporate structures, capital recycling compliance, and fiscal management. Experience modeling multi-window media rights, independent film slates, or complex lease-backed asset models is preferred. Ability to present risk-pricing metrics clearly to institutional investors.

Compensation Structure (Pre-Funding) This is a pre-capitalization partnership. We offer a performance-contingent advisory package:

Deferred Cash Retainer: Contractually backed cash compensation covering all pre-funding advisory hours, paid out immediately upon the closing and drawdown of our Eerste institutional capital tranche. Advisory Equity / Carry: A percentage of sweat equity/carried interest in the General Partner (GP) management entity, vesting upon successful fundraising milestones. Right of Eerste Refusal: Clear path to the permanent, salaried post-funding CFO role once the fund is operational.
