Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at FrieslandCampina, you will play a key role in developing and operating the back-end platform (Data Engineering Framework). You will work on building and managing Databricks-based data pipeline orchestration and execution components and ensure a robust, scalable data platform that supports our future growth.

Wat we vragen

• Strong understanding of Data Engineering frameworks and ETL architecture, specifically in an Azure environment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure D&A capabilities, especially Azure Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python (particularly PySpark) and SQL for developing data pipelines and processing frameworks.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) practices for Python-based software.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD concepts, especially Azure Pipelines.
• Azure and/or Databricks certification is a significant advantage.

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and manage complex data pipeline components, ensuring smooth promotion of Data & Analytics (D&A) use cases to production.
• Platform Management: Support the continuous development and improvement of our Azure D&A platform, focusing on CI/CD, security, and data access management (ACL).
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Proactively share ideas and insights within your team and across the broader Capability Structure to foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
• Solution Design & Planning: Contribute to solution architecture design and translate technical requirements into actionable user stories and tasks. Provide valuable input into strategy and planning to drive successful project execution.
