The Role

For one of our growing clients from Utrecht we are looking for an experienced and visionary UX/UI Design Lead to be at the helm of the design of various portals. Theyre a scale-up company within the sustainable energy sector and are approaching around a hundred employees. We are looking for someone who has a vision on UX/UI, but also for someone who is a good communicator and can get people on board in this journey. There is no UX team in the organisation currently so you will have to set everything up and truly pioneer!

Youll collaborate closely with teams such as Development, Customer Operations, Field Service and Marketing, as well as engage directly with customers and partners to understand their needs. By leading the iterative design process, youll bring ideas to life and take the user experience to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading UX/UI design strategically and operationally as well;
  • Driving all aspects of user research and testing;
  • Taking ownership of designing user-friendly flows and creating impactful designs;
  • Engaging stakeholders;
  • Transforming intricate technical data into intuitive, easy-to-understand visuals.

Who are you?

  • 8+ years experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio;
  • Affinity with working with a (technically) complex product/service;
  • You know your way around use design tools like Figma;
  • Youre a strong communicator who can handle managing different stakeholders;
  • Experience with working alongside developers and cross-functional teams in an agile rhythm;
  • Expertise in leading user research and leveraging feedback to create user-first designs;
  • Having experience in the B2B energy market and in design of customer portals is a big plus.
