To provide the needs of our client, Suited is looking for an Automation Engineer - Oracle who is willing te become part of our client’s service delivery department on a temporary basis.

Organisatie Our client is responsible for providing database services being part of IT infrastructure within a large bank.

Functie As part of a DevOps team you are, as a developing engineer, responsible for the automation of the provisioning and daily operations of our Oracle database infrastructure services, which are mostly delivered on Oracle Exadata and a small number on commodity hardware. Products within this environment are Oracle databases (12c and 19c), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle infrastructure hardware (Exadata & ZFS). You will be involved in the development of new services & products and making them available to our customers. The department consists of around 35-40 Oracle specialists who day-to-day are working together to deliver the best and most secure service to the customers of the bank. The bank demands high quality, continuity and stability for 24×7. As part of the role you sometimes will need to work outside office hours during standby shifts. We expect you to have good analytic skills and work on continuous improvement & automation. You should have a good understanding on the possible impact of changes in the environment and assist colleagues with implementing changes. You are able to work on complex problems on your own, together with the team of DBA’s or with other departments like network and datacentre departments. Communication with our suppliers, client departments and other DBA’s in the domains is a very important part of your job. You have a passion for the job and are interested in the development of the Oracle products.

Functie-eisen Who are you? · You are a natural born developer with extensive Python and Ansible experience · You love automation challenges and really like working with a group of Oracle specialists. · During your career you have been developing automation plays on databases, preferable Oracle. · You see the big-picture but like to go into the details to solve complex integration issues. · You are a team player who can cooperate with everybody. Must have: · Excellent knowledge with scripting (Shell / Perl / Python) and automation tooling (Ansible, Git and Jenkins) · Proven track record on automation plays on databases Nice to have: · Knowledge of Oracle Databases, Exadata, OEM, OID · Knowledge of Networking · Knowledge of Storage configurations · Experience with working in the financial industry
