We’re looking for an R&I intern in our Process Technology Intern team! Are you interested in working in a professional research setting? Are you passionate about food processing technologies? Do you want to have an impact on the products of a renowned multinational company like Danone? About the Internship


For many food applications, high protein dessert is one of the fastest growing family. High protein in the recipe without compromising their functional properties is desirable. The project objective is to make high protein dessert with know-how the ingredient and the processing condition under construction by potential the recipe optimization, potential the processing condition optimization, and investigate the possibility in a large scale. Moreover, the high protein dessert will be further determined in their physical-chemical properties, the behavior under processing conditions, and the final investigation in the prototypes.


So, what will your key responsibilities be?

  • Literature study
  • Design and execute lab analysis
  • Conduct experiments and analyze results.
  • Prepare technical reports or presentation of experimental results.
  • Maintain accurate record of laboratory work
About you

We are looking for a Master student in Food technology or Food processing engineer or other related field. You should have experience in research and familiar with lab equipment for physicochemical analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, proactive, curious and not afraid to share their opinion or ask questions when needed. You are independent in the execution of experiments and in the implementation of methods, good data management skills, good reporting and scientific writing. You are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you.

Additionally, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You are enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student during the whole period of the internship (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
  • You are available to start between June and July 2024 for a minimum of 5 months (5 days per week)
  • You are fluent in English – written and spoken;
  • Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) and get a BSN number
