Job Description

As the Senior HR Manager, Apparel Solutions, you will be responsible for HR business partnership across the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom. You will partner with regional and functional teams in developing and implementing specific people strategies in the business and functional areas. You will serve as a member of the Northern Europe leadership team and operate in a complex matrix environment with dispersed client groups across various countries.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the General Manager and the North European leadership team and exert influence on key people and organizational strategies that align with the strategic objectives including workforce planning, talent acquisition, development & succession planning.

  • Exhibiting strong collaboration with peers, partner with our COEs and workforce operations team ensuring standardization and process optimization of HR work activities and digital adoption within our workforce.

  • In partnership with our COEs, drive change management initiatives in an ever-changing environment, while ensuring overall compliance with our Avery Dennison values, code of ethics & country legislation.

  • Partner with leaders to understand and interpret our employee listening feedback. Implement programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and continuously assessing and improving the employee experience.

  • Provide coaching and counseling to managers on a broad range of HR related topics.

  • Lead & facilitate talent reviews and provide guidance to leaders as they develop the development plans for their teams and their overall succession plans.

  • Support leaders in evaluating and evolving their organizational goals, processes, roles and structure to meet talent and business needs. Work to assess needs/gaps and partner with Talent Management COE as needed to address skill gaps and training needs.

  • Partner with our leaders to ensure they are demonstrating inclusive leadership and support diversity and inclusion initiatives, promoting a diverse and equitable workplace.

  • Analyse IR/ER trends and implement strategies that resolve conflict and promote a harmonious/cohesive work environment. Engage with Workforce support as needed on complex employee relations issues.

Qualifications
  • Relevant HR/Business qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years HR business partnership experience within Europe.

  • At least 3 years experience with acting as a primary HR liaison to works councils, addressing employee concerns, discussing proposed changes, and seeking necessary approvals

  • Experience in a global multinational company and a multi-cultural environment is essential.

  • Ability to lead without authority and thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure matrixed environment

  • Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of strategic workforce planning, industrial relations, talent management/development and change management

  • Ability to challenge constructively, make tough decisions, and provide candid feedback when needed.

  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills combined with influencing and negotiation skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Dutch and English, any other languages are a plus
