Duration: 6 months
Start date: September 2024
Length: Fulltime (40h a week) NOTE: YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN HIGHER EDUCATION DURING THE ENTIRE INTERNSHIP TO BE CONSIDERED. Join our Service Engineering department and help us optimize the repair process for Tesla vehicles. As an intern, you will play a role in our mission to ensure efficent vehicle diagnois and repair processes by collaborating closely with both Vehicle Service and various engineering departments within Tesla.
During this internship, you will deep dive into Tesla’s technology, focusing specifically on the development and validation of diagnosis automation for our Low Voltage subsystems.
Your responsabilities will include:
  • Conducting in-depth root cause analysis of component-specific failure modes affecting our global fleet
  • Leveraging vehicle data logs to identify unique failure mode signatures
  • Designing, developing and validating software solutions to automate diagnosis and streamline vehicle repair
  • Reviewing and improving vehicle calibration and configuration software routines
  • Developing knowledge on vehicle low voltage systems, including electro-mechanical systems and communication protocols
What You’ll Do
  • Detailed understanding of components involved in low voltage systems
  • Experience with root cause analysis by working with cross-function teams
  • Experience in designing, developing and validating diagnostic software tools
What You’ll Bring
  • Pursuing an education in Electrical or Automotive Engineering
  • Level C1 in English (written and spoken)
  • Understanding and relevant coursework within embedded and electro-mechanical systems
  • Software engineering skills (Python)
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to have:


  • Experience with the C language and Git
  • Experience with LIN and CAN communication
  • Experience with debugging or root causing component failure
