In this role, you will develop cutting elements for grooming and beauty appliances, from initial concept through to mass production. You will work in diverse, multidisciplinary development teams and play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable, and manufacturable products. Your Responsibilities

• Develop cutting elements for grooming and beauty devices such as shavers, trimmers, clippers, and similar products, ensuring high performance and quality.
• Safeguard core values such as functionality, design, and simplicity throughout the entire development process.
• Translate user, commercial, and functional requirements into clear and precise technical specifications for cutting elements.
• Engineer cutting elements with a strong focus on functionality, performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Plan, realize, and steer the development of cutting element functions, ensuring effective project execution and alignment with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong experience in function development, including formulating hypotheses, defining experiments, setting up and executing tests, analyzing results, and drawing well-founded conclusions.
• Apply expert knowledge to influence technical and strategic decisions and actively contribute to roadmap and strategy discussions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create high-quality mechanical designs in metal and/or plastic that are ready for mass production.
• Lead or coordinate cross-functional teams, manage development requirements, perform DFMEAs, and work according to the V-model methodology.
• Release complete cutting elements, including components and sub-assemblies, for mass production.

• Minimum of approximately 2 years of product development experience, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Physics, (Bio)Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in function development for consumer products, with a solid understanding of state-of-the-art development techniques; experience with Design for Six Sigma (Green Belt) is a plus.
• Proven experience in setting up, executing, and analyzing experiments and tests.
• Proficient in 3D CAD for designing and developing precision mechanical constructions.
• Familiar with precision engineering, manufacturability aspects (processes, tooling, and equipment), mechanical analyses (strength, stiffness), and drive mechanisms.
• Passionate about solving complex technical challenges and building knowledge through theoretical and/or empirical models.
• Skills in Python and FEM are a plus.
• Ambitious with clear leadership potential, aspiring to grow into roles such as Senior Mechanical Developer, Lead Function Developer, or Product Architect.
