Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team. The Functie is permanent and the preferred Locatie is Hattem, The Nederland.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate all customer order requests related to spare parts and technical support on classic engines.
• Prepare and handle spare parts quotations and orders in our ERP system and actively guide the logistics and transport of all technical parts towards Maritime and Energy customers.
• Continuously look for ways to improve customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
• Manage your own group of customers and prospects; stay in contact with customers, network companies, distributors and colleagues to follow up on business opportunities.
• Be part of a team of Sales Engineers and Sales Support Specialists at the Hattem office.
• Active selling of spare parts and (field)service projects to customers, network companies or distributors.
• Translate customer questions into technical specifications and correct products.
• Follow up on customer requests and communicate with stakeholders about spare parts orders, quotations, back orders and claims.
• Prepare customer visits and coordinate inspections of shipments and equipment.
• Ensure accuracy of installed base with customers and network.
• Participate in technical and sales product trainings as needed.
• Be aware of overall profitability and the sales margin in orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum vocational degree with a few years of experience within a technical services organization.
• Customer-minded and service-oriented attitude with a Can-Do mentality.
• Fluency in English; any second foreign language is an advantage.
• Excellent teamwork skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Experience with ERP (SAP) and CRM software preferably.
• Interest in engines or other rotating equipment is a plus due to activities in Marine and Energy industries.

In this role, some travel is required.
