Legal Counsel
At Wageningen University & Research, you will work (part-time) as Legal Counsel on legal issues that contribute to societal challenges in the field of education, research and business operations. Within the Corporate Legal team , you will be a legal advisor on a wide range of private law issues, including cooperation agreements, intellectual property and corporate law issues. What will you do as a Legal Counsel?
- You advise various staff departments, with a focus on private law, and draw up contracts for (subsidised) collaborations;
- You will support the Co-creating Value & Impact department with legal advice on corporate law and intellectual property law, in particular on spin-offs, shareholder agreements, licenses and patent transfers.
- You develop and implement policy, such as the patent regulations and spin-off policy, and ensure compliance within the organisation;
- You will contribute to the development and updating of legal templates in collaboration with fellow lawyers;
- You advise the board of directors on real estate issues;
- You handle a variety of legal issues, including disputes and Woo requests, based on your expertise and development needs.

- You have completed a university degree in Dutch law;
- You have knowledge of and at least five years of experience in private law, with an emphasis on contract law, intellectual property and corporate law;
- You have a proactive and service-oriented work attitude and a sense of administrative relationships. You can work well together, present and include people in your advice;
- You have good analytical skills, you are able to formulate useful and clear advice. You like dynamics and can keep a good overview;
- You have a command of Dutch and English in word and writing.
