Reports into: General Manager

Management team: Yes Key stakeholders: Hotel Management Team, Director of Revenue Management, Regional Marketing Manager, Country Director of Sales, Global Account Managers, the Club of Sales in the Netherlands

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the commercial department, where all aspects of the hotels pro-active sales, re-active sales (Meeting & Events) and marketing initiatives are delivered and total revenue maximised, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to
  • Develops and implements strategies where key sales metrics are identified, communicated and delivered where reports and tracking tools are effectively maintained in line with defined initiatives & targets - in collaboration with the General Manager
  • Manage and increase performance of Hotel Key segments; MICE, Corporate, Leisure Groups, Crew
  • Prepares and is responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and departmental inventory is controlled and that target productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Maximise brand performance of the Radisson Hotel Group by managing stakeholders; Country Director of Sales, Global Account Managers, Regional Marketing Manager
  • Working with Regional support centres to optimise performance and activity delivery
  • International travel will be part of this role as part of the pro-active sales activities
  • Attending client events and participate in joint activities together with the Club of Sales in the Netherlands
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and partners both internal and external ensuring all communications/activities are controlled and undertaken in a timely manner
  • Working closely with hotel stakeholders to share results, discuss ongoing strategies, actions, follow up with short term and long-term objectives;
  • Review and scrutinize the business performance, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance, including working with internal and external partners on adhoc projects
  • As part of the Management team working proactively to maximize guest and client satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution
  • Creating monthly reports for Owners, attend monthly owners meeting to discuss results and actions previous and upcoming months

Competences & skills requirements:

  • Proven 3-5 years experience in a sales position, within a hotel environment;
  • Bachelor degree preferably in Hospitality or Commercial related field;
  • Good leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style;
  • International Sales experience;
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry;
  • Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations;
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence;
  • Strong communication and listening skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures;
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel
  • An open, positive and communicative personality
  • Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
