The internship

Immerse yourself and learn the Heineken way of Brand Building and get connected with colleagues across different Operating Companies (OPCOs) in the region of Africa & Middle East (AME).

We offer an internship in which you will contribute to building Marketing Capabilities across the Africa and Middle East region starting in September 2024 for six months.

For the successful person, your role & responsibilities will include:

• Organize and steer a project management drumbeat to ensure capability programs are delivered on time and in full quality to the OPCOs
• Work together with the OPCOs capability builders to ensure excellent deployment of AME capability programs
• Create awareness and excitement around our capability programs with a robust communication plan across all internal platforms (SharePoint, Workplace, Learning tools etc)
• Ensure the timely update and storage of program content on MS Teams
• Prepare and execute capability surveys (NPS) and program report to AMEE Marketing leadership team
• Foster team a collaborative, team of teams ways of working with OPCOs and region

The department

The AME Commerce Excellence team is part of global commerce and based in Amsterdam. The team supports operating companies (OPCOs) in the region to deliver superior and balance growth contributing to share of HEINEKEN NV globally. It has oversight responsibilities on portfolio and brand management, route to consumer, revenue management, excellent outlet execution and capability building.

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 September 2024
• The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
• The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
• It is a practice-oriented internship
• You will be based in Amsterdam
• Working from home/hybrid/location possible in alignment with line manager
• You will receive an internship fee of €500 gross pm based on 40 hours per week
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

The unique you!

• Curiosity to learn and a passion for marketing is crucial for delivering on the responsibilities of this role.
• Ability to connect and collaborate with other global functions and operating companies key
• Ability to use Microsoft suite of tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) & also canva etc is desirable.
• French speaker can be an added advantage.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

• You are enrolled at an educational institution.
  • In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
  • In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.

• Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
