Full stack software engineer

Join our international team of multidisciplinary squads and be part of building the next generation banking applications in the Daily Banking tribe. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing scalable, resilient, and real-time banking processes, providing near real-time information to millions of ING savings account holders in the Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to work on the technical backbone of our front-end Lit applications and Java APIs, which are used by millions of customers across various channels.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Innovate, create, and improve our digital channels and customer experience
• Collaborate with business colleagues, UX designers, visual designers, and product owners
• Develop backend and frontend solutions using technologies such as Kotlin, Java, Spring, Maven, Azure, Prisma, Oracle, Kafka, Lit Webcomponents, and NPM
• Drive (test) automation, continuous delivery, and deployment using tools like Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Fortify, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
• Take ownership and be responsible for refining, coding, testing, and deploying your work in on-premise and cloud environments
• Lead development experience is a plus
• Solve technical and functional challenges with self-motivation and an itch for innovation
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and embrace an agile way of working

How to Succeed:

• Strong proficiency in software development (backend and frontend) with a proven track record (6+ years)
• Thorough understanding of (test) automation, continuous delivery, and deployment tools and pipelines
• DevOps mindset with the ability to refine, code, test, and deploy your own work
• Strong analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding
• Interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology
• Excellent social and communication skills, being a sparring partner for business colleagues
