Solution Engineer Responsible Investments

The role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineers with expertise in Azure Cloud to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data and cloud technologies, and who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What you would do

APG Asset Management is seeking to strengthen the Responsible Investments solutions domain, and are therefore looking for an experienced solution engineer to:

• work alongside the delivery teams and enterprise architect to define and design the future technical architecture of our application stack
• champion modern software design patterns, mentor and influence development teams in the adoption of technologies
• ensure that software is designed and delivered in line with both data architecture and enterprise target state and current best practices
• act as an interface between the solution delivery teams, data domain teams and the Enterprise Architecture function
• actively seek to simplify and modernize the technology footprint across our digital transformation journey
• stay abreast of the latest developments and cloud technologies, integrating new features and capabilities to enhance solution offerings
• develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, design decisions, and operational procedures
• provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning

What you bring

• experience of the design and implementation of: self service/controlled service architectures, event-based architectures, loosely coupled systems and re-usable components, system and enterprise architecture
• wide-reaching interest and knowledge of technology and its practical use, including legacy languages and patterns, and current/future state languages, technologies and patterns
• proven, hands on development background, utilizing an object orientated language and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• experience in thought leadership through the development lifecycle, including the coaching and mentoring of development teams
• multi-year, real world (‘hands on’) experience of agile, including Scrum and Kanban and the real-world application from prioritization through to delivery
• clear experience, ideally over a number of years, in a trading-based organization (hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank) – with knowledge of financial instruments and terminology
• bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or math, engineering or a related field

You will be located in Amsterdam or Heerlen.
