You will work at the Tech Academy, as part of the HR Tech department.

The purpose of ING’s Tech Academy is to empower the engineering culture by offering excellent learning opportunities for the CTO domain.
This role is a short term assignment starting in August 2024 until February 2025.

The Tech Academy works in an agile way. We are a distributed team, divided over Romania and the Netherlands and consisting of two squads: customer journey experts and external events.

The main purpose of the external events squad is to brand ING as a top tech employer by sponsoring tech conferences, organizing physical/digital Meetups and providing our engineers the opportunities and tools to become an ING-advocate as a speaker or via digital channels.
The team works in 4-week sprints. Within the team we manage the backlog, based on input from our stakeholders (Leads and engineers).

How to succeed:

Someone who is capable to develop and empower ING advocates to share their knowledge and Tech expertise, can build and enhance a global internal engineering community and globalize the Tech event strategy even further. You will liaise with engineering communities, communication and branding teams across countries to advise and support them, and share best practices on reaching the right target group for Tech. Furthermore, you make strategic decisions by understanding the priorities for the CTO domain in alignment with HRBPs and CTO management.

• Ability to build further on the current vision and strategy for Global Tech events (both internally and externally).

• You are creative and have a hands-on mentality.

• You make strategic decisions based on data analysis and measurements.

• You have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and sponsorship partners.

• Being able to understand our customers (Tech employees) and engage them to contribute to the engineering culture.

• Someone with understanding, affinity, and experience on event and project management on a global scale.

• Experience in handling cross country collaboration.

• Curiosity in what else we can do to put ING on the map as a Tech employer with a take it on and make it happen mentality.

Required competencies/education:

• Bachelor or master degree

• Good understanding of engineering culture and tech environment

• Strong communication skills

• Pro-active, result-driven, critical and a positive mindset

• Affinity and/or experience in Agile Way of Working is a pré

• It is a must to be fluent in English (both writing and speaking)

• Willingness and ability to travel
