The Team

The Retail Planning team is responsible for the end-to-end management of merchandise and inventory planning, including strategic demand planning. In a constantly changing retail environment we look to build the best assortment plan for each retail location, based upon: consumer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape.

The Position

Reporting into the Replenishment & Outbound Manager, the Planner Allocation Outbound role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and continuous flow of goods to our stores. This covers all stock, from initial allocations, replenishment, aged and divisional stock. They ensure that the commercial needs of the business are aligned with both DC and store capacity needs.

This role works closely with the Planning, Buying, Branch/Hub, and Supply Support teams to ensure that merchandise is allocated in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing store inbound capacities and ensuring these are aligned with commercial needs, review on a seasonal, monthly and weekly basis and work with both branch planning and DC teams if any amendments are needed.

• Partner with Branch Planning team to ensure needs of each market are fully understood

• Ensure that the outbound process runs smoothly, respecting both trade priorities and market and DC needs.

• Pre- season and in-season align with Capacity Planner to ensure outbound capacity plans are respected and highlight any risks and opportunities based on trade

• Clear communication to DC, branch planning and Capacity planner if trade dictates a change in planned outbound capacities.

• Managing efficient execution of delivery releases for all stock (Seasonal, NOS, replenishment, aged and divisional).

• Fully understand trading calendar and ensure DC is aware of different outbound needs based on commercial calendar and trade actions.

• Decide with DC and branch planning frequency and max cartons to deliver each week.

• Participation in Hub 360 and Buying & Planning trade meeting.

• Review of entire outbound process, proposing changes that meet DTC best in class ambitions.

• Understanding of systems to be able to support in all three pillars of wider Allocation team.

The Ideal Candidate

• University degree with 3-5 years of related work experience

• Strong experience of inventory flow management

• Strong financial and fact-based analytical acumen and perspective

• Sound understanding of retail merchandise KPIs including monitoring sales and stock

• System knowledge on SAP (own flow, franchise flow, concession flow) and replenishment tool

• Solid understanding of end-to-end fashion process from brand merchandising to sales in store

• Strong communication & presentation skills, ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
